Dan is a hydraulic modeller who works on flood mapping, flood risk assessments and hydrology. He also provides support on project tenders and project management. He graduated from the University of Plymouth with a degree in Civil and Coastal Engineering. After that, he worked in hydraulic modelling and civil engineering roles. Dan has been involved in a wide range of projects in the water sector, including providing flood maps for the Environment Agency, flood mitigation studies for local authorities, river restoration, surface water management plans and drainage design. He has provided technical support and hydraulic modelling training to a range of clients. He also has an interest and background in horticulture. This includes matching planting to specific habitats, bio-attenuation and treatment in sustainable urban drainage systems, natural flood management and planting in habitat restoration.
