Lynsey is a geoscientist specialising in fluvial geomorphology and has over 15 years’ experience across the environmental, engineering and mining sectors. Her PhD focused on untangling the effects of climate and vegetation on sediment transport and landscape properties, based on topographic analysis, the derivation of erosion rates using cosmogenic nuclides and the use of GIS and remote sensing datasets. Lynsey was previously an analyst at JBA Consulting, working on geomorphology and flood risk projects and enhancing her skills in geomorphological appraisal, hydraulic modelling, flood risk assessment, erosion impact assessment, natural flood management and hydrological analysis. She also has extensive experience as a specialist scientific editor, writer and science communicator.
