Martin is an environmental scientist with more than 20 years’ research and consultancy experience of freshwater environments. He was scientific coordinator of the EU FP6 project EURO-LIMPACS and the FP7 project REFRESH, concerned with adaptive strategies needed by managers to mitigate the impacts of climate change. Martin has 15 years’ experience of coordinating international and national projects in freshwater and freshwater ecosystems.
He has designed and coordinated large-scale surveys both in the UK and internationally, collecting, collating and analysing physical, chemical and ecological data and managing teams of researchers and consultants on a wide range of scientific and applied projects.
Before joining cbec in 2015, Martin was project manager at ENSIS Ltd and was responsible for leading business and strategic development of the company. He continues this role today with cbec as operations director, which involves the overall management of day-to-day operations.
