Kate Comins MSc

Principal Consultant – Project Management

Kate has over 20 years’ experience in environmental management, specialising in river and water resource management. She has sound technical knowledge of river restoration techniques and processes and extensive project management skills with experience of working for government agencies (Environment Agency and Scottish Environment Protection Agency) and the private sector (Tweed Forum, Rivers and Fisheries Trusts of Scotland and the River Forth Fisheries Trust). Throughout her career, Kate has successfully networked and mediated with a wide range of statutory and non-statutory organisations and has extensive experience of stakeholder engagement.

In addition to an MSc (with distinction) in Environmental Management from the University of Stirling, Kate has a BA with Honours in Geography from the University of Edinburgh. Since joining cbec in 2018, Kate has been involved with both business development and project management, particularly of barrier easement projects.
