Megan Annetts BSc

Consultant – Field technician

Megan has a bachelor’s degree in Physical Geography from Aberystwyth University, where she developed a keen interest in fluvial geomorphology and flood risk, as well as acquired field experience in sediment sampling, macroinvertebrate sampling and land surveying techniques. Her research project as an undergraduate student explored the impact of micro-hydropower on river channel morphology and subsequent impacts on flooding caused by these changes, which encompassed extensive desk-based assessments utilising aerial imagery and historical and national park construction records in the Cressbrook area of the Peak District in order to target areas for undertaking field work; this encompassed velocity area, sediment sampling and kick sampling methodologies, as well as the application of the Water Framework Directive’s channel classification system.
