Rachel holds an MSc in Sustainable Development from Utrecht University, where she specialised in environmental degradation, restoration and rewilding. During her Master’s she spent much time developing and critically assessing nature-based solutions across a range of urban and natural environments. Her Master’s thesis focused on vegetation and soil development on a forward-looking wetland restoration project in the Netherlands and involved aspects of fieldwork and statistical analysis. As a member of cbec Europe, she is currently working on projects based in Ireland and Iceland, conducting topographic surveys, literature reviews and data analysis.
