Sam has more than five years’ professional experience in the water resources industry, having worked in the three waters services area, as well as in river restoration. Sam’s specialism is fluvial geomorphology, both academically (with training to master’s level) and professionally (working on rivers throughout the UK and New Zealand). Since 2019, he has worked on river restoration and construction projects on a range of watercourse types, including chalk streams, highly modified waterbodies and upland systems, as well as wetland development and creation of salt marsh habitat on tidal rivers. His multidisciplinary background and experience involving projects with multiple restoration components make him an invaluable member of the cbec team.
